Appliances are heavy, awkward, and most contain something a transfer station won't accept on its own. Refrigerators, freezers, and window air conditioners hold refrigerant gas that has to be evacuated by an EPA Section 608 certified technician before disposal. We partner with a local certified evac shop and the cost is included in your quote. We don't charge extra for the freon line item the way the national chains do. Once gas is recovered, the steel chassis goes to a Capital Region metal scrapper rather than the landfill. Front-load washers, top-load washers, dryers, dishwashers, gas and electric ranges, microwaves, wall ovens, garbage disposals. We pick up all of it. Newer working appliances (typically under 5 years old, no obvious damage) get evaluated for our local donation network before recycling. We handle the disconnect for you: gas appliances get the gas line capped, water hookups get shut off, electrical pulled cleanly. If you'd rather do the disconnect yourself before we arrive, that's fine too. We'll arrive truck-ready.

Disconnect (if needed), wrap edges to protect doorways, dolly out, load truck, Freon evac at our partner, metal to a local scrapper. You get a photo confirmation when the load is dropped at the recycler if you'd like one.

Single refrigerator or freezer visit: $149 (Freon evacuation included). Single washer, dryer, or stove visit: $129. Each additional appliance on the same visit: $75. Most full-kitchen cleanouts (4+ appliances) fit in the 1/4 truck ($239) tier.

- How is the price calculated?
- By volume, not weight. We charge by how much of the truck you fill, from a single item ($129) up to a full 15-yard load ($549). Pricing is on the Pricing page so you know what to expect before we show up.
- Are there any hidden fees?
- No. No trip charges, no fuel surcharges, no stair fees, no 'heavy item' fees. The quote we give is the price you pay. We get this question a lot because some of the national chains aren't transparent about this.
- How do you compare to 1-800-GOT-JUNK and College Hunks?
- We're typically 10 to 15% cheaper for the same volume, and we don't hide the prices. We're a small local outfit. Lower overhead means a better rate for you.
- Can you come the same day?
- Often yes, especially if you book before noon. Tuesday through Friday tend to have the most same-day slots open. Use the quote form and we'll text you confirmation within a couple of hours.
- What if I just have one or two things?
- Single items welcome. Our minimum charge is $129. That covers one couch, one mattress, one fridge, plus whatever fits around it. No trip charge.
